Emily Clarke is launching another new initiative aimed this time at the town’s homeless people.
Emily explained: “There are an increasing number of people sleeping rough and/or begging in Lewes and there is no provision to support them. I’ve set this up as an immediate way to help out a bit. Sunday is the last day before Food Bank users can collect a weekly food package and also the quietest day in town, so less opportunities for a warm drink, food or spare change from a passerby. It’s also bloody freezing out there at the moment! I’m hoping this will be a good way to reach out and find out more about the needs locally, so that we can address them.”
Join Emily every Sunday and help make someone’s day a little better.
Emily Clarke is the Labour candidate for the Lewes division in the forthcoming County Council elections.
